Xue Wei finished his BSc in Physics (Material Physics) at Henan Normal University (China) in 2015. Then he changed his career into Biotechnology, in 2017 he began his study in Bioengineering (optical instrumentation) at the University of Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing, Institute of Biophysics and obtained the MSc in 2020. After that, he continued to work as a Research Assistant in the same institute for one year on time-resolved microscopy. In 2021, he joined the PHAST-ETN PhD program and began his research work in microendoscopy at GRINTECH in Jena, Germany.
His research interests include optical and electrical systems for biomedical microscopes and softwares for instrument control and data processing.
